Cafes are one of the most popular things to do in Seoul and there are plenty to choose from. From crazy themed cafes to quiescent safe havens, there’s something for everyone!
Harry Potter Café and Bar
If you’re a fan of the famous Harry Potter series, then this is the place to go. They have a variety of Harry Potter-themed snacks and drinks and the interior is decorated with tons of collectibles from the series, so there’s lots to take photos of!
Tartine Bakery & Kinfolk Lounge
San Francisco-based Tartine bakery opened its first outpost in Korea Cafes in Korea by The Green Voyage in 2018. It shares space with Kinfolk lounge, an independent lifestyle magazine, and is a gorgeous venue to enjoy coffee and pastry.
Besides being a fun space, the cafe also serves delicious food, including sourdough and banana cream pie. The coffee here is also excellent, so it’s a great place to stop for a break and enjoy a bite to eat while reading your favorite magazine.
Greem Cafe
If you are looking for a cool place to hang out with friends or to get some work done, then check out this cafe in Seoul. Its design is reminiscent of a pen-drawn cartoon and the cafe has become famous for its funky aesthetic.
There is a lot of white inside this cafe, and the black-and-white illustrations on the walls are very eye-catching. The illustrations of potted plants, tufted leather, flowers, and art frames are very artistic, and the entire space is designed to make you feel as though you are in a fantasy world.
The best part is that the cafe is also a study room, so you can relax and study for hours while enjoying your drink. It is a great way to spend your time in Seoul and meet new people.
Old Ferry Donuts
The Old Ferry donuts are one of the most delicious donuts you can find in South Korea. They are very fluffy and they come in many different flavors. You can order a donut of your choice and it will be delivered to your door in no time!
May Island
If you are a student or a working adult, then this is the perfect study spot for you. The cafe is located in the center of the city and it is a popular place for students and working adults to meet. It also has a loyalty card system, so you can earn points for free drinks and sandwiches.
Bingsu (Korean shaved ice desserts)
If you have never had a bingsu before, then this is the place to try one! They have a wide variety of flavors and they’re all super delicious. They even have a decadent tiramisu bingsu, which I absolutely loved!
Animal Cafes
There are a lot of cafes in Korea that cater to animals. These cafes are a fun way to spend your time and they are also a great way to get some exercise! However, there are some problems with these types of cafes. The cafes can be too small for the animals to move around and they can hurt their health.
